Best Time to Vacation In Hawaii

The weather is extremely pleasant in Hawaii almost all year around, so there is really not a bad time to take your Hawaii vacation. Most people try to plan their Hawaii vacation in the winter months, since the nice weather in Hawaii makes it feel just that much better than the typical cold and snow in the midwest and northern states.

In the winter months, you will find some of the best times especially to visit the beaches in Hawaii. The water temperatures on the many beach fronts are very accommodating to swimming and surfing or just wading in the shallow waters. This is also an ideal time for beginning surfers to start learning how to surf, as well as watching the more experienced surfers take on the challenges that the Hawaii surf represents.

But even though winter months may be an attractive time for your Hawaii vacation, you may want to consider other times of the year if one of your goals is to save as much money as possible. Like anything else, the tourist industry in Hawaii, which includes lodging and meals, is very much in tune with the law of supply and demand, and when the demand goes up such as it does in winter months, so do the prices.

Is the heat in tropical Hawaii a concern for planning a summer Hawaii vacation? It really depends on what type of person you are, but generally speaking, this is not a big concern. You almost always have a nice sea breeze coming in off the ocean, so the humidity is not nearly as noticeable as it would be without that sea breeze. Also in the summer months, since it is not a peak time for tourists, prices for hotels and lodging are lower than in the winter months, making that same Hawaii vacation a bit more affordable.
